INNOVATIONS
The Foundation
Our work in audio signal processing stretches back to the beginning of the very first digital devices ever developed for audio. For years, curiosity has driven our team to search for answers to questions of how to best reproduce sound in the most natural and creative ways. Albert Einstein once said that “the greatest scientists are also artist as well.” We strive to keep the art in mind as we continue our technical journey and develop products that will carry the art forward.
Setting Gold Standards
The M7 Stereo Reverb Processor was our first major statement. Built around a proprietary reverberation algorithm rather than convolution techniques, it quickly became a trusted reference tool in professional recording and mastering studios worldwide.
The M7 remains an industry standard; an indispensable and flexible tool for professional recording and mix engineers the world over, used on countless hit records and by top touring acts.

M1 Stereo D/A, 2010
Transition from Processing to Playback
In 2011, we launched our first consumer component, the M1 DAC. Drawing on our extensive experience in signal processing and conversion, the M1 brought professional-grade digital precision to the high-end home audio market.
The M1 architecture delivered class-leading musical reproduction into the home, establishing a platform that combines careful digital design with fully balanced analog output stages, one that continues to evolve across subsequent generations.
M1 Limited Gold Edition Stereo D/A, 2015
Refined and Defined
The M1 Limited Gold Edition marked a significant milestone in of our original DAC platform. While retaining the core elements that defined the M1, this limited-production version introduced enhancement from our custom shop that included stillpoints isolation, point-to-point wiring, expanded filtering options, improved power capacitors and 40mm thick gold plating. The M1 Limited later became the inspiration for the M1 Special Edition minus the gold.
M28 Monoblock Amplifier, 2015
Fully Differential Amplification
In 2015, we launched the M28 monoblocks, marking our entry into fully differential power amplification. Designed with the same rigor as our digital platforms, the M28 features dual differential circuitry and massive current delivery.
Intended for both professional and home hi-fi systems, it emphasizes a fully balanced design, low distortion and linearity across the dynamic range. This established the foundation for our future amplifier designs and the progression to a complete Bricasti Design system.
M12 Source Controller, Stereo D/A and Preamp, 2016
Integrated Preamp DAC Architecture
With the introduction of the M12 Source Controller in 2016, we combined stereo DAC functionality with an analog preamp volume control and analogue inputs, expanding system flexibility within a single platform. The M12 was also the first product to feature a separate 1 bit Native DSD path and Network Player card. Together these features allowed for a wider and seamless integration of analog and digital capabilities in one place.
The innovations from the M12 became the foundation for future Bricasti Design products like the M3 and M21.
M21 Stereo D/A, 2018
Multi-Architecture Conversion Platform
The M21 represented a significant convergence of our digital research and the continued evolution of both the M1 and M12 Source Controller. Within a single chassis, we brought together three independent, user-selectable conversion paths: Delta Sigma, R-2R ladder, and native 1-bit DSD.
Rather than favouring a single topology, the M21 reflects a broader design perspective, incorporating the MDx processor, network streaming, a fully differential output stage and custom designed filters. The M21 allows users to select the conversion architecture best suited to their system configuration and listening priorities, and, for the first time, enables a level of detailed personal choice in reproducing a cherished piece of music.
M3 & M3H Stereo D/A, 2019
Expanding Performance Accessibility
In 2019, we introduced the M3 DAC in order to offer Bricasti Design quality and engineering at a more accessible price point. Incorporating Delta Sigma conversion, native DSD decoding, a fully analog volume control and precision DDS clocking for exceptionally low jitter, the M3 exudes the best of our design philosophies.
The M3 featured a new custom-designed chassis, fully differential optional headphone output and network capability, the M3 offered versatility while preserving a fully balanced signal path. It marked an important addition to our digital line of products.
M20 Preamplifier, 2020
Completing the Signal Chain
The launch of the M20 preamplifier added to our expansion into analog signal control. Fully balanced from input to output and sonically engaging, the M20 was designed to deliver transparency, low noise performance and precise gain management in any system or mixed environments.
The M20 delivered a rich analog experience with fluid, fast and tonally balanced audio and fully differential / independently buffered signal paths for superior isolation and purity of sound. A proprietary, all discrete resister ladder attenuator, ceramic circuit boards and three dynamic Class A linear power transformers create the ultimate platform for any audio system.
M19 SACD/CD Reference Transport, 2023
Source Integrity and Direct Interface
The M19 SACD and CD transport extended our control to the physical source stage. Designed with mechanical stability and clock integrity in mind, the transport was engineered to minimize timing errors before the signal reaches the conversion stage and deliver a signal free from complication.
In addition to conventional digital outputs, we implemented a direct I2S connection compatible with our DACs. By reducing interface conversion stages and maintaining clock coherence between the transport and the conversion stage, the I2S pathway reflects our emphasis on preserving signal integrity from disc to analog output.
M11 R-2R Ladder Stereo D/A, 2024
Raising the Ladder
The M11 offered our ladder conversion Technology inspired directly from the M21. While The M21 DAC combined multiple conversion approaches within a single chassis, the M11 concentrates exclusively on R-2R ladder design, applying the same core engineering principles in a purpose-built product.
S7 Loudspeakers, 2026
Extending Engineering into Acoustics
With the introduction of the S7 loudspeaker, we extended our engineering philosophy beyond electronics into acoustic design. Developed to reflect the same precision applied to our digital and amplification platforms, the S7 integrates the latest advanced driver technology, crossover networks, and cabinet construction.
The S7 Speaker was inspired by a desire to create a system that is inherently balanced in terms of size and performance utilizing the latest technologies available today.
