I truly appreciate a ladder DAC, and this is the best one yet. It offers transparency, neutrality, and timing that is simply outstanding. In fact, I am so enamoured with the M11 Classic that I have thrown restraint to the wind and purchased one.

I could quite happily live with the Bricasti Designs M11 Classic, I have always enjoyed the coherence that ladder DACs bring to the digital table and this one manages to do so alongside impressive clarity and depth of detail.

So yeah, the Bricasti M12 Platinum Edition is nutty expensive. But… If you’ve got that kind of long green, it’s about as state-of-the-art as digital conversion gets these days. You also get a killer great-sounding preamp as part of the deal.
